Alistar Overeem
Alistair Overeem is a London-born, Dutch Heavyweight fighter who has finally moved to the UFC after dominating a number of other organizations’ heavyweight divisions around the world. The former Pride, K-1, and Dream Heavyweight Champion also has the dubious distinction of retiring Brock Lesnar from MMA –which will make both hated and loved in the MMA world.
Having been a martial arts practitioner for most of his life, he started fighting professionally at the age of 19, and the now 31 year-old Overeem has compiled a long list of both victories and defeats, but has seemed to find his groove in recent years and hasn’t lost a fight since 2007!
Overeem now trains with Team Xtreme Couture after having spent the previous 12 years with Team Golden Glory where he learned from the likes of Bas Rutten and others.

Overeem has a cameo in the hilarious LMFAO music video for their hit song, Sexy and I Know It.
The massive physical specimen that is Overeem at first dreaded training, something he apparently has gotten over.
Strengths
At 6’ 5” tall and 263 pounds you won’t find a more intimidating in the MMA world than Overeem. With his background on both kickboxing and Judo, Overeem is a tough matchup for just about anyone, considering he has superior striking skills, excellent balance, and a good takedown defense.
Weaknesses
Overeem has been KO’ed on a few occasions (although it should be pointed out the fights were against in-their-prime fighters named Chuck Liddell, Mauricio Rua two-times, and Antonio Rogerio Noguiera.
